Is this becoming a trend? I've been told it was the crazy weekend, the beginnings of the teething phase, or just her winning personality...Audrey was at it again last night and this time Daddy was there to witness. I know that I tend to exaggerate sometimes (just to make a point!), but I was almost a little gleeful that he was there to see THE RAGE. It was more than a little funny to watch him dash around the house, searching for the gas drops, the Tylenol, a bottle or her Pipe*, while I delved once again into my limited repertoire of children's songs, got her into her prefered position in my arms, and rocked her to sleep.
I went to a psychic on December 27, 2004 with my sister-in-law Tracy and good friend Erin. I am not a believer but this guy is as close to the "real thing" as it's going to get. I had been to him once before, so I was expecting great things from him. Among other things, he told me that 2005 would bring a little girl to me - a moody one with long dark hair. He immediately followed that statement with one that was on the mark - he advised me that he saw me with two children, either one right after the other or twins. He mistakenly identified the other one as a boy and not my Sweet Maggie May, but that's beside the point. Weird, huh?
Who would have thought that Dragon Lady 2 would produce a "moody" girl?? Everyone, it seems...and I love her so!
*Thanks to Gramps, our pacifiers, binkies, nuks, pacis, whatever YOU want to call them are called "Pipes" in our household. Get it right buster!

The calm AFTER the storm.
Audrey had a rough weekend. She was hugged and held and taken in and out of her carseat, jostled, tossed, kissed and passed and she had enough. On Tuesday night, she went into her first full blown temper tantrum for a good twenty minutes. She screamed and cursed and if she could have, I swear she would have stomped her feet! When she finally had cried herself to sleep in my arms, I was afraid to move her for fear that the little tyrant would return. Finally, I gathered enough courage to lay her ever so gently into her bouncer. She stirred for just a minute as the hairs on my neck stood on end, but eventually found a comfortable spot and drifted back into a blissful two hour nap. When she finally awoke, she was recharged and full of smiles, giggles and her natural charm. She had the usual mischievous glint in her eyes and was ready and willing to investigate her new Christmas toys.
Who knew that such a tiny little thing could already be so good at being a drama queen? I guess it's true that you reap what you sow.

Maggie rolled over today, December 26, 2005!!
We were expecting it for a few weeks now, because she kept twisting in her bouncer and on the floor. But Monday, while playing with her new toys and watching Home Alone, Maggie finally did it!! She was attempting to reach her Discovery Triangle when she did it and once she rolled, she kept doing it over and over again!! We're so proud of our little girl. Little Sister isn't far behind - stay tuned! Labels: milestones

Maggie is starting to get her teeth in, so she's constantly sticking her tongue out and blowing spit bubbles...I can see the whites of her two front teeth through her gums, but nothing's coming yet. Stay tuned!
The Look. Audrey must be taking notes from Mommy. Don't mess with this little girl!
The girls looked so cute in these Christmas outfits! Though, they were so tired after meeting their new friends, Justine and Annika, and meeting Santa. They weren't in the mood for a photo session later that evening.
